Brenda's Story
Life
Seems like I've reinvented myself so many times in 24 years. I went into engineering related fields for the longest times (remember me in all those drafting courses?!!) I started out drafting for a wastewater treatment plant manufacturer, then went to Florida Power and worked on converting the street lights to high pressure sodium and then I was a project manager for a construction company and worked on granite clad buildings. Worked in concrete and steel as well. Then about 11 years ago I decided to become an Aromatherapist and Licensed Massage Therapist. I have a very successful company, A Muse Sings Incorporated. I've worked on several celebrities - the biggest was the band Linkin Park. I am also launching a new business venture - a product I created called Clear My Head. It's been my best selling product for 10 years so I am biting the bullet and trying to market it to stores - so far so good! We are selling it coast to coast in spas, stores and catalogs.
You may remember me graduating early and getting married. ...Expand for more
Well that one didn't stick. Got divorced within 2 years. Such is life. I remarried in 1983 to a wonderful man and had a son with him in 1984. We moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1988 - we live in the same neighborhood where my husband grew up. He is CFO of a defense company. We love to travel. Together and solo. In 2002 we bought a cabin in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio - and amazingly one of my best friends from good old Northeast is in the area and we have reconnected.
The picture posted was taken in October 2003. Notice the wicked streaks of gray in my hair! It suits me some how now. And I still get compliments so I guess other people like it too!
I collect fossils and amber - passionately. I have an interesting collection which includes a trilobite the size of my hand, a museum quality fossil fish,an amber piece with 48 bugs in it and three megalodon sharks teeth - one which just washed up at my feet on vacation in North Carolina. Plus gobs more.
I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me. Seems so long ago.
